In this lot you will receive 2 coins. One has a pre-CUD die crack at the base of the bust and one with the impending CUD at the base of the bust. These were all pulled out of the same US Mint bag and are struck from the same pair of dies. This is evident by the small die crack on the reverse from the lower right corner of the Lincoln Memorial (by the initials FG) to the rim. All are Unc but all have developed spots and toning over the years. However, at this price they are a bargain and worthy as an addition to any collection. Mated pairs of coins are difficult to find and more times than not prohibitively expensive.

The photos below are from a set that I saved for my collection. I sent them to NGC for grading and holdering. All three came back MS65RD. There is no guarantee that the ones you receive will grade the same due to the spotting and toning mentioned above. However, they are Unc. I have separated these into 2 groups.

GROUP 1 SOLD OUT Group 1 will have an early state die crack, i.e. the die had recently broken and the crack appears as a thin line. $8 per set of 2 coins (One w/ die crack. One w/ CUD).

Group 2 will have a later state die crack. The crack will appear as a wider line.
Twelve Eight Seven Six Five sets available: $12 per set of 2 coins (One w/ die crack. One w/ CUD).

Buy the remaining five sets for $50 $45 post paid.

The CUD alone is worth more than the price of both coins. How often have you seen a pre-CUD die crack and the coin with the CUD that followed sold together?

If you would like both sets to include an early state die crack (thin), a later state die crack (wide), and two coins with a base of the bust CUD, $18 + postage.

Here is a photo of the CUD. Getting a photo of the die crack has proven to be difficult for me.
