‘Genie Lamp’ ANA Morgan’s — found a batch of beauties in the wild ! — newps
I stopped by the Seattle convention center coin shop (Washington Numismatic Gallery, Inc.) — which has now been there for 32 years! — and I got to chat with owner John. He’s 77 and still going strong. Sharp as a tack, extremely knowledgeable, and been-there-done-that in all things coin related.
He recently purchased a large collection from a long time collector — including a sweet group of ANA Morgan’s. They were lined up in a perfectly fitted, nice old school box. Including multiple rare dates that you never see in these slabs. Every one of the coins was eye-appealing with nice toning (acquired mostly from the slabs it appeared), and every slab was in pristine shape.
I was psyched that I got to go through the box. We made a deal on these 3 beauties. Given my rudimentary iPhone quick-snap skills, I couldn’t avoid the light source glare, but you get the idea. They’re super pretty ‘sisters’ and look very happy sitting next to each other. 😆
Thanks for taking a look!

They all appear a point undergraded.
Nice batch!

Thanks! I agree about the ‘79 and ‘79-S ….. but the ‘04-O does have a significant reed mark on the right cheek (seen best in the group photo) that would likely keep it at a 64 … but it’s also pretty hammered for an O-mint and the prettiest of the trio. A real sparkler.
Those are very nice looking coins.
Based on your thread title, I was expecting to see coins you’d bought at an ANA show, not necessarily coins graded by ANACS.

Toning's gotta caused by the label given its predominance in the label end of the slab. Beautiful Morgans.

Stunning coins. That is quite a score.
I guess it depends on how much one follows the old slabs because my first thought was old small ANA holders.
And this is a very nice trio-both the coin and the slab are good!
Yep that’s my thinking, too.
Nice score
The blue labels are known for being conservatively graded.
Nice to see some fresh Morgans.
