I am wondering if anyone knows if this nickel is valuable?
Well, it's a "war alloy" nickel containing 35% silver, so it's worth at least that.
In this condition I don't think there'll be much of a collectors premium.
It’s worth at least Five Ents.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Couple dollars for melt value.

I'm aware. But such a "joke" misleads newbies who don't know that it is silver.
It's a 35% silver "war nickel". Current bullion value is $1.93 .https://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html

It's a neat find but unfortunately it is really just the silver value. Those can be had in uncirculated for fairly short money.

The missing "C" in cents may elicit some interest these days. Value over melt ... who knows. It would probably cost more to try and get a premium than it would be worth.
You could open an eBay account and list it for $100's as the No-C variety!

You joke, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a video having already made the rounds selling these as valuable errors.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
