    Although, if my spare time was spent banging 20,000 women instead of working on free throws, I can't really blame the guy.

    Bill Russell was a better free throw shooter and had better team mates.

    They were close defensively.

    Wilt was twice as good a scorer.

    Not really close as individual basketball players.

    Not really a better scorer when it was time to play defense in the NBA in the most meaningful games, nor at the end of meaningful close games.

    I would be hard pressed to find a better teammate than Jerry West.

    Chamberlain lost championships more because of his deficiencies at the line(all the time) and in the Finals as stated above. Now I cannot prove that is why, but his deficiencies and poor play in the Finals are unmistakable and had he done better in those I am certain his teams would have won more championships.

    You can't prove Russell had better teammates. I would say it is likely that in Wilt's younger years that Russell had better teammates...but in Wilt's Laker years Russell never had as good as teammates as those Laker guys.
