The card appears to have wear on the top right corner. Is that correct?
Yeah plus the top left and edge chipping.... probably should be an 8!
Jesus the card is even worse than I thought. Should that even get an 8?
So the Cert was deactivated today (no, I didn't report it).... But god damn, the same submitter sent in 30 or so of these cards and another 15 or so of the 1981 fleer Gibby for dual service.

Why would it be decertified? Is the implication that’s it’s fake?
No, not because it is fake, because it is BS.... Most likely, because so many of the same cards were graded in order in the same submission, the slabbing might have gotten out of order/mixed up cards and flips somehow. So either the grader was blind, or one of the PSA 8 graded card was switched with the PSA 10 card... I had something similar happen where I had a Topps and OPC gretzky in the same submission form the same year, one was graded better than the other, but the cards got swapped, the OPC flip had a topps card and vice versa. Think I left them and had PWCC sell them to suckers!

Been getting hammered on "FRESH PACK CARDS" from 1977 star wars ...i.e. 8's when should be 9's and 10's...example
I think with that Star Wars example it is fair -- look at left to right centering as the card is shown...so much more space to the right of the copyright line than there is to the left of the left (top) border...just the centering could get it to an 8, but at best a 9, so if there is any other small issue, then certainly the 8 grade is in play...at least that is how I suspect grading is determined with the multitude of '77 Star Wars cards I have submitted -- very nice looking card tho

I was going off the centering of numerous centering examples as a 10 like (the red is even more room at bottom of card
The 81s are so frustratingly tough. What looks like a 10, comes back a 7 or 8. What looks like an 8, somehow comes back a 10. I just hope when 4SC lands the first Fernando, it is worthy and not something like the Gibby 10/10.
Thanks,

I go through this maddening experience subbing 1989 Topps Batman somewhat frequently. I have stacks of 8s and 9s that are far sharper, better centered, flawless-surfaced cards than several of the 10s I see turn up on ebay.
