I picked up a collection of football and baseball cards from the 70's to early 80's off of Craigslist for 50 bucks. I Just finished quickly sorting through the football and got a couple of nice rookies. No Payton though. The boxes in the photo are all baseball and I will get to those next. Funny side story, the guy who sold me the collection told me I won't find any Seahawks cards. His older brother pulled them all because that's his favorite team. Thank God he wasn't a steelers fan.

Great score.
Still deals out there. How could they not know what they had. Great find.
Great buy!
As a longtime Steelers fan, I'm jealous. Super find.

I haven't started the baseball boxes yet, but they appear to be complete sets. I have to check each card to make sure they are accurate and complete. The baseball box years are 1976 through 82. There are three boxes of incomplete sets (quick peek looked like all 1976/1977) in the picture behind the three stacks of loose baseball cards. It is definitely going to be a fun project.
I'm all for a score, and I'm sure you paid the guy's asking price, but you'd still have an amazing score if you brought the guy another $100 saying something like "after I went through it all, it looks like you under-priced yourself a little bit".
You are certainly under no obligation, and you shouldn't receive any negative comments if you don't. It just seems right, given what was included.
I paid a buck twenty-seven for a tomato at the supermarket. After I brought it home, I examined it and realized that it was a really good tomato. A score. I went back to the supermarket with the really good tomato and told the grocer "Good sir, this is one incredibly nice tomato and you've underpriced it. I wish to pay you more."
He looked at me like I was on drugs. He nodded in compliance and said "All of our tomatoes are firkin amazing. There's more than we could possibly count. We sell them off as fast as we can and then get more. Because there will always be more tomatoes."
Gobble.
Thank you but no.
Best of luck with sorting thru you find.
I see a couple of stacks of 76T. Let us know if you find any Ecks?
I went through the loose stacks of baseball cards, mostly commons.
