I think Alabama could soon see themselves ranked ELEVENTH.

Standings not out yet, but they're dropping like a rock, from first to seventh to very likely eleventh. Another loss or two will totally fry their season. You cannot give up 65 points in 2 weeks to non-ranked, both 21 point dogs and expected to excel. The first beat them and they barely squeaked by yesterday by 2 points. Bama has a serious defense problem and what's coming in the next few weeks could well have them out of the top 20 !!

Well, looks like I missed this one, week 8 results keep Bama at 7th place. I still don't think Bama should be ranked 7th given their recent play.
They're ranking a name.
Enjoy the go.
exactly
Bama has a win over Georgia
Had Ole Miss won Bama might have dropped to 8, same maybe if LSU didnt need overtime to win.
It basically never happens that a top 10 team would drop more than 1 or 2 spots max if they win
Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
My point is and has been the strength of the opponent, not necessarily the win. If you play back to back 21 point dogs, and one beats you, you obviously drop. When the second one almost beats you, but you pull it out by 2 points, the voters see a win, NOT the weakness and overall poor performance of the defense of the Alabama team.
I agree with the above, they're ranking a name and not necessarily the performance. Bama has Tennessee, Missouri and LSU ahead...time will tell.
Vandy beat Kentucky which means the close loss on the road has aged better for Bama to go along with an elite win against Georgia. South Carolina has a very good d line and plays people tough when the their QB is healthy.
Milroe is a problem for sure, been saying that since last year. But you have to have teams worthy of jumping them and no one behind them has a better win then they do. You simply dont drop more than 1 or 2 if at all after a win.
The roster is there other than Milroe being a turnover machine. If DeBour would stop trying to be their friends and put the toughness back into the defense it would look different even with Milroe trying to ruin it. They have a gauntlet ahead and Milroe might/probably lose them some of the games, but it doesnt mean they dont deserve to be where they are right now
