Color accuracy in NGC Photos
I have almost no experience seeing coins that have been photographed by NGC in-hand. After seeing Heritage using some of their photos, I'm not sure how to interpret the photos and was hoping some folks here may be able to provide some insight. I chose a few owl tetradrachms because the vast majority of the examples I've seen in hand have bright, near-white surfaces, similar to what Heritage's slab photos (which look a bit overexposed, but that's an aside) show. In the NGC photos, however, the coins have darker color that seems indicative of a matte patina. Until I can compare some in-hand for myself, any thoughts as to which photo likely represents the appearance of the coin's surfaces better?
And some do look bright in both, but this seems particularly bright for the NGC photos based on the sampling I've seen...

Because it’s not an NGC photo, but a Heritage image?
Doh! Although perhaps to save some face for me... that at least shows a comparison between the Heritage slab shot and their closeup, which seem more consistently lit/bright than the Heritage vs. NGC photos.
My experience with Canadian tokens is the NGC photos are pretty close to the coin in hand.
