Sharpest images in the hobby. Can't wait to see you do some overmintmarks like D over S, O over CC, etc.

Again, such a wonderful closeup. Would be truly wonderful if a photo of a coin could be enlarged and rotated to be able to visualize such attributes of it's variety. Wow. I would buy that app. lol

This pic was taken with Canon EOS M6, and Mitakon 4.5 Super Macro lens attached to a 24mm extension.
Did you happen to buy one of the setups from Ray Parkhurst? These are the type of photos he routinely posts.
My setup for this pic and previous closeup pics is pretty simple (shown below). Camera body is either Nikon D800 or Canon EOS m6. I was for sure real close to buying one from Ray awhile back.
I’m working on my new setup based on my own copy stand with different camera and lens. Haven’t yet used it but, I will be soon enough. Just waiting for a couple more items.
I just watched a video on it, and the guy was taking some incredible shots of insect eyes free hand. Have you tried this into a slab with such a small focal length? https://youtu.be/2GmQ2Hj9WOs

It’s a nice affordable sharp lens. It’s challenging but worth it.
Not yet. I’m almost sure that it will be a challenge due to the very short depth of field. Light reflection will also be a huge issue.

Very clear and detailed, how many MP's is the camera you used.
Given the quality of your pics, I feel like you could put together one heck of a coffee table book.
Thanks! Camera used has 24mp.
1938 D/D nickel next please 🙏
I wish I have more coins with different over MM varieties to take photos of….😅
Great image. What do you use?

I have seen the great Mark Goodman's setup which is quite similar in most respects
