A most curious album port

I always found it odd that the major album producers don't include the more common proofs issued prior to 1968 and often included tough regular dates or varieties that were worth much more than early modern proofs. And then! This Dansco for Seated Liberty Quarters has this port for the Proof only 1842 Small Date.

Someone make sense of this for me.

Bonus pic: I made some extra albums for an upcoming local show in Westport, MA for next Sunday.

Yeah, the Dansco seated albums are a disaster. That port should have been the 1842-o small date. The seated dollar album is even worse.
