Should we have a BST forum for numismatic literature?

I think so. Anyone else?

Just list it on the normal BST. I see people post books/catalogues there and some sell.
I agree with Andy.
Not a bad idea

A listing for a coin book would get more eyes in the US Coin BST Forum.

It would now, but if there was a Literature section, I would bet it to be seen by those actually interested in Numismatic Literature quicker.

I just don't see the need for it. I like tokens, medals and exonumia also..... but am perfectly fine with just having that included in with the coins.
I seriously doubt I would look at the BST for numismatic literature if there was one. But listings under the coins heading might get my attention.
I think it is a great idea.

I am so in favor of a numis lit BST!
That would prod me into getting about 200 pounds of duplicate books out of my closet
and into other people’s care.
I don’t use the BST, but would definitely sell, and probably buy also, if a book Category existed.
So, how could this actually come to be?

For onesies twosies, it won't make a big difference. But when someone decides to clear out a lot of books, it may not be practical to list them all, and it would be good to have one place to go to see all of the want lists. I know I'm in exactly in that position now. I need to make room for some new additions, and have to clear out about 10 feet of shelf space. And I probably have three times that in stuff that I really don't need. No way I'm writing it all up and pricing them one by one. But if someone actually wants something, I just might sell it.

I’d visit it if there was one, especially if it could also include vintage coin albums

Maybe a high resolution photo so anyone interested can read the titles from the spines? Couple of pictures and a BST listing seems to check a lot of boxes.

That could work for some people, especially for those who don't have large libraries and could quickly sort things out. Wouldn't work for me.

Ahh...you don't have 10 continuous feet to clear out. A central wantlist for sellers to check would be useful. Not sure how often it would be used practically but in theory it makes sense.

Such a forum would be appreciated by this small-time buyer/seller/trader of numismatic literature. Don't have many duplicates at this time. Usually dispose of the less-interesting material at local coin club meetings.
