What does that look like to you?

Because it looks like a possible 8/7 to me...

On a quick view, noticed something on those areas marked in red:

Do not know if that extra diagonal on the right can lead to a possible 7 - But can be.

I have to agree on the 8/7 it's the other misc. marks that are throwing me off for
    100 percent certainty.

The red lines are parallel, pink marks the bottom of the 7
There is that mystery triangular mark peeking out from the top of the bottom loop of the 8.

Thanks for posting your analysis @JohnnyCache . The argument is pretty good for it being a 7, but like you, I am puzzled by the other artifacts in and outside of the 8 (shown in green in your images)

Is that your coin? or it is from one of your searches?

    It's mine, but I don't have it in-hand yet.

    10-4
Something per my old eyes is above the 7 too or maybe it is a simple shadow.

    Good luck!

Sorry 7 does not seem to make sens. I cannot seem to see any number that would fit. It ''must be'' a number but what number a bad 5 a bad 6 a bad combo of both hard to say. This one is not clear at all.

I prefer collecting coins in lower circulated condition G04 to F12

maybe the 7 was punched more than once before the 8?
