Has anyone else ever seen the belt around Liberties waist as shown on this coin I purchased from GC?
I have looked at dozens of these coins and this is the only one I have ever seen.

Comparison.........
GreatPhoto looks fine compared to TrueView.
Thank for the photo, I am computer illiterate and do not know how to do photos. I wonder if anyone can do a blow up of the photo in the slab and post that as it is the one that shows the belt and actually the lapel decorations I am writing about, it is amazing this has not been discussed before as a comparison.
Thanks,
manofwar
I don't see a belt. It looks like a fold in her gown.

As I was saying, you can see it in the photo of the coin in the slab and blow it up, it is easily seen
Thanks,

I think it has to do with the angle of light on the coin playing funky tricks.
Looks like a minor planchet defect.
I totally agree about the angle of the light. Again I find it amazing something new can be found after more than 15 years in the hands of collectors and all of the photos.
Sincerely,

Goldbully,
Thank you for the photos I just did not know how to do that and now all can see it and judge for themselves.
I would like to challenge the folks that have one of these coins to compare theirs with similar lighting which I believe was from both at a low light pointing up and Ambiant sun light overall which may have created the contrast.
Just a thought,

I still have no idea what we are talking about here. Can someone who does, add an arrow or circle to indicate the new discovery in question?
JBK,
Thank you for your interest and I will add the "Belt" is around Liberties waist and there are also something like lapel decorations which are a little fainter but are still quite visible in the photos Goldbully was gracious enough to provide
I still don't see it. Where's @emeraldATV when you need him?

Well I am sorry you can not see it, but it is very obvious
This photo from Goldbully is quite obvious
OK, I downloaded the highest resolution from the above TrueView and here is Liberty's midsection.
It appears this is the bottom of her 'cape' and it appears to be rolled at the bottom....no belt.
edited to add closeup of GC image.
The Belt appears on the photo from GC not me I simply have seen it and wonder too, but I actually have the coin and if the light is from the lower part up the belt is there, regardless of any question. I do not believe GC was projecting something or any reflection could possibly be that exact as to create the image, that is simply rediculous. I just found it very curious.
Thanks,
manofwar
There is no "belt". It's her dress, gown, or cape.
That garment is in both photos. I still don't see any real difference beyond lighting.
Well regards to not seeing the obvious image in the photo or not I guess it is subjective, I see it quite easily and I am old with old eyes.
I just thought the photo was interesting and worth seeing but apparently many just want to turn it into something else., so be it.
