    End of wondering if a scratch or die crack. A question, the globules on the upper star point, are they die chips or globules created by the heat created during the impact? Always wondered that.

    Ejection damage. The coin was still in contact with the die when ejected from the press, which caused the stars to be sheared a bit. This an 81-S?

    Nothing fancy. Nikon D800 with remote, Novoflex Focusing Rail, 1.7x adapter, Mitakon 4.5x Super Macro lens and a short copy stand.
