Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Very unlikely gas will be $2.50/gallon in California in the foreseeable future.

Another drop of $1.75 and we’ll be there here in the Central Valley.

I own only three, all for my Type Set.
The first was bought as a 64, and upgraded with a plus via Reconsideration:

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

I've always liked this coin (never owned one, however).
But I just now noticed from your picture that the Eagle has GIGANTIC feet.
The obverse showing Liberty riding on the back of a hippocampus while holding a caduceus is one of my favorite US coin designs. Too bad it's on such a small coin.

We hit $2.70 here today. This is one of my favorite coins that I own. A 58+CAC Classic Head.

Where I live, it just went to $2.999, but I don't own any $3 gold to post. But here's my only $2.50, the first coin I ever owned. It was a birth gift.

$3.25/gallon and dropping here in the Hudson Valley of NY. I'm not complaining.

1870 is a surprisingly difficult $2.50 to find in high AU or low MS with CAC approval. Nicely done.
