Can someone kindly tell me the purity and overall gold content of this item?
Thanks.

Gallery Mint is/was a reputable mint that made reproductions of popular coins. If there is any gold content it will be marked on the coin, check the edge as well.

Maybe Dan Carr, our resident producer of quality reproduction coins, will chime in with some info.

    Couldn't find any marking.
The flip with the Gallery Mint Museum logo on back has a hand written .1289 on the other side. Don't know if this is the actual gold content or not.

    .

4.37 grams of .9167 fine is about 0.1289 troy oz net gold content.

Did the website have mintage figures for the various denominations?

As far as I can tell no, but there are quippets of information on a host of items they’ve done in the past, check out “vintage stock” and previously sold items, the $2.50 no star pictured above is currently for sale.

It’s in the vintage stock section but they do some pretty cool art medals and jewelry as well.

My example is the 1796 $2.50 stars obverse. Didn't see it in the Vintage items for sale.

I have always understood, gallery mint to use the exact same specifications as the originals that they are copying, so you could literally look up the original coin and get the specs there…

That’s what I’ve understood mind you. I can’t confirm that.
