PSA to "new" SGC results.

-SGC didn't see the Nomar Star Rubies as min size like PSA did. This set is notorious for cards cut short by the factory, maybe SGC takes that into consideration. At least I know SGC & PSA don't share information, as a low numbered card like this would be easy to track.
-PSA wouldn't grade the Nomar Signature Series card because they require dual auto & card service for pack pulled cards prior to 1998. I found about this policy after I sent it to PSA & I didn't want to pay for dual authentication.
-The Schilling was PSA 6 that I believed was better. I saw a PSA 7 & I knew mine was nicer.

Congrats. I didn't do as well. Maybe my cards just sucked.

Dig the Nomar sig. Was actually just considering searching what is out there for him for autos. Never see him doing signings at shows near me but I'd be interested.

Good to know. This entire year I've gotten so many MinSize returns that it's made me crazy. Good to know SGC hasn't completely lost their minds yet.

The 1997 Donruss Signature is one of my favorite autos because it's from his rookie year. Plus, it's got a great serial number - not quite an exact uniform number match (Nomar wore #5) but close enough to be quite unique.

I watch lots of reveal videos on youtube and get the real feeling SGC is a lot more lenient with their grades...I see clear corner dings on multiple corners get 9 grades, etc...that Clemens card looks like both lower front corners have touches? If so, that right there would/should get it down to a PSA 8...add in any other issues and I definitely seeing it getting a 6 or 7 from PSA...

I'm guessing you mean the Schilling.

The lighting plays games with the surface of that card, especially on the corners & edges. It's much cleaner than it looks in photos.
