1909 Lincoln Set Complete

When I started collecting again about three years ago; I decided to go back to my first love, the Lincoln Cent. I wanted to do a mint state red collection. The entire set would be too large for me; so I decided to concentrate on my favorite year, 1909. Below are the coins.

    Fantastic! Love the color scheme.

Was the VDB proof the final addition?

    Outstanding!

Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

    Great set!

For fun, you should try to find an Unc 1909-s and 1909-s vdb with an altered mintmark.

Since they are so prevalent, maybe they are worthy of adding them to your set.

Did you mean added mintmarks? If so, that wouldn’t be an especially tough challenge and why add them to an otherwise-great set?

I think the distinction between an altered mintmark and an added one is one worth making. I’m sorry if you happen to disagree.

A great looking set of 115 year old cents.

Why not add 1909 and 1909-S Indian cents as well?

It was the final addition. I debated a red/brown example for awhile, but I could not pass up on this one.

I do have an added mint mark on a 1909 (not a vdb, not sure why they bothered..). I considered having an example of each mint mark position for the 1909-S VDB, but I'm over budget as it is...

I have the 1909, looking for 1909-s example, as well as the proof (when the budget allows).

And the proof. Maybe even one for each designation, a regular and CAM one.
Why not add one of each color, RB and BN?
Or better yet, get each type of 1909 in every grade, including plus grades and CAC approval.
How about obtaining all 1909 cents in existence for a truly complete set?
