Washington Quarter Date is Covered

Is this quarter an example of "spooning" or a "dryer" coin?

Or is it something else?

Thanks!

    Yes, spooning or dryer coin.

Put it over another quarter and you will see the diameter is smaller. I would say it is a dryer coin as opposed to spooning.

I think dryer because of the way the rim is sort of folded over and extending over the coin on parts of it. I don’t think spooning would do that.
