Tax ID Number Required On Spain Coins For Sale Sites

DNI/NIF/NIE

I have posted about this in the past, anyone here have been on sites that required this to make a purchase? and also to open an account?

What number do you add or normally use?

For sure I am not going to add my SS number.
Have read that one can use the passport number.
Maybe I can try with my State ID?

Spain is the only place that I have seen the requirement of this tax ID number, but not in the whole country. I have bought from many other sites in Spain and in Europe and in the UK and no need for something like this.

Thanks.

I have bought many things in Spain that require DNI. Never coins, however. I tell them I'm not Spaniard and give my drivers license. Thy happily take it, along with my money, and they ship me the goods. Not once has failed me.

Some of the Italian auction houses try and pull that garbage as well. Government going amuck! That’s what happens when…

Tell them to stuff it and spend your money elsewhere.

There were some coins that I wanted, but they are sold now.
