I've had a submission stuck in that status for almost three weeks, maybe they're working on upgrades.

I have a submission in the grading status since June 13. I am not having my coins imaged.
I've had that happen. I'm pretty sure they're not spending hours a day photographing your coins, it's probably just stuck in a box in a corner of studio.
I have an express order in that should take a while due to the varieties and it moved from Received to Encapsulation in 2 days. I'm terrified at what may have been missed.
No pleasing me, I guess, it's either too slow or too fast.

I think some of you missed my point.......
No I got it, I just take it as a given that my TVs are going to be sub-standard. But hope springs eternal!

So is an actual panic attack your point?

No, I'm just jaundiced.
I'm a vocal TV hater. TVs are what originally drew me to PCGS instead of other TPGs. Now it's simply the registry (I don't particularly use it, but it makes coins much much more liquid).
BTW, My submissions is still "Being Imaged" even though it has shipped.
They ran out of yellow toner, as soon it arrives, they'll post your pics.
OK, now I see what you mean….
