I have been working on this few around 10 years and upgrading here and there. Havent shown it in a few years. Would love opinions. ANACS has stopped slabbing ancients and messed things up for me considerably.

I thought about doing that in gold several decades ago, but never got it started.
Very nice.

I like this idea a lot. Really nice set!

Looks really cool! I don't know jack squat about ancients though.

That looks like a very fun collection, great idea. Not that long ago I remember someone that posted how they are doing a decades collection of US coinage, I thought that was a fantastic idea as well.

That’s awesome. I’m considering doing similar and I recently bought this coin to start the collection

That’s a really cool way to collect! As someone who knows zilch about ancients, something about the Tabaristan coin speaks to me.
Nice and thanks for sharing.

That's a great set. One piece for each century. I love the idea.
Thanks for sharing the set.

I always liked the look of the ANACS holder for these and began the collection using them, the grades never were really important. ANACS suddenly stopped grading ancients though and now my OCD of uniformity is going to drive me crazy lol. Only option is to spend almost $1000 crossing them to NGC which seems like a waste of money.

Great idea and a great collection!
Impressive. It's all about your type set coin choices. Not the holders. IMO. Peace Roy

@Alltheabove76 . Very cool. I know little to nothing about ancient coins. Is there any continuity of things like denomination? size or composition? My eyes are not that good I can't quite read the holders. James
A little of everything. Since the coins pretty much represent all of civilized man from ancient greece to modern day, I wanted to find coins that told a story about the era they were made.

Fabulous idea & a great set! Like others, I know nothing about ancients. That’s too bad about ANACS, though & I see your point. Not the greatest option crossing to NGC, either. What do you think you’re going to do?

Interesting theme and nice looking coins overall. Adding a large cash style coin from China and something better from early India might be fun adds. Congrats.
I made some additions to solve the ANACS issue, Just switched the first page all to NGC Ancients
