My sister recently caught the coin bug. She has an amazing ability to sniff out good deals. Recently won a Dansco album collection of Lincoln cents (nearly complete). Interested in opinions on some of the key dates listed here. Especially interested in getting opinions on the S on the 1909-S VDB. Sorry, pictures are not great.
She paid $100 for the entire set...
This is a duplicate post as i could not edit first one.

Sorry about duplicate post. Converted photos to jpg, seemed to do the trick.

The S on the S VDB looks a bit off but the others look okay... at least from photos.

The image isn’t real sharp but the S looks off to me, as well.

Here is a more magnified view of the S
Counterfeit.
Is the S glued on?

I don't believe so - it looks like a fake coin altogether.
What about the 55/55?
It looks good.
(I am concerned about the 22 and the 14-D)

Ya, the S looks very odd to me. The 14 looks ok, the 22 looks to have a worn or altered mm and the 55 looks good to me also. I'm by far an expert, so just my opinion.

Do you have a closeup of the 1955 rev, the "T" of cent? All of these keys look off.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
The 09S is the only one that I would question. The others look OK. Very nice buy. Tell your sister "Beginner's luck" and see if she can keep it up. That's a challenge.
Your 1922 has a mintmark:

Still an incredible score if even the 55 ddo is real! Congrats

Oh wow, how could I not see that mint mark. I will see if I have other photos.

If that '55 double die is not counterfeit your sister may qualify for an award that is known to be given around these parts which I will not mention by name.
Have her pump the brakes until those can be authenticated, especially since the 09-S VDB is bad.

For the experts, is the 1955 Doubled Die Cent a coin that is highly faked?
It's all about what the people want...
Yes, as are far too many other coins.

"One of the main diagnostics of a genuine 1955 Doubled Die cent can be seen on the reverse of the coin. Since there was only one pair of dies used to create the 1955 Doubled Dies, all genuine examples should display vertical die polishing lines to the left of the letter T in ONE CENT. Authentication is strongly recommended for this variety."

"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
She has joined this forum and I will have her post a photo of the reverse of the 55 DDO. She plans to send the key dates to our host for certification if there is a reasonable chance they are authentic. We appreciate all the comments.

$2000+ worth of coins for $100... I'd be concerned with receiving stolen property.
CalBear
Probably more than $2000 if all are legitimate. Doesn’t make sense someone selling this for $100
