From a 1964 BU 1C roll this one is not like the others.

    You'd be hard pressed to find any two coins that were identical, different dies, different die states, different striking pressure, etc.

    Could you elaborate on what you mean by “ not like the others”
    It looks like a regular cent with a scratches on the steps.

  • Maybe the pressure did that. Thanks Icutler . I was just curious .2 billion minted ,and the paper roll was green on the ends . Weak strike the whole roll anyway. Thanks again

    That is Die Deterioration from a worn die. You can tell by the flow lines.
    Nothing unusual, all dies start to wear out from the constant striking of 100’s of 1,000’s of planchets.

  • Thanks greenstang ! Seen the term “flowlines “ in reading so there it is . I did just finish most of cuds in coins . Found two other BU 1964 1C rolls . DDR hunting or a best found that could book . 2 coins from there have this anomaly at UNITED that start in the field and ends near rim with NI unaffected over it . See pic :
