If you were a fan of one of the other AFC East teams when he as with New England, especially when they went to the Super Bowl five out of six times at one point and I remember in 2020 playfully saying to my late Bostonian wife what a refreshing change of pace it'd be for the Chefs to win and telling her how everyone outside of New England was sick of the Patriots and would like to see someone else take the AFC pennant for a change!

Though now it's the Chefs who have taken the AFC flag four out of the last five times! I take everyone in the AFC outside of the Kansas City area is really sick of them by now and would like to see someone else in the Super Bowl for a change? hee hee

You mean where he deals in dubious 'wellness' business practices with a shady partner named Alex Guerrero? Where he schleps $15 bottles of water and $200 'Infared reflective' pajamas?

Dude is a charlatan who is parlaying his on-the-field success into separating fools from their money.

It just seems the way you like to attack and go after everyone . I would not have said anything but it just bothers me the way you like to put people down as if you are some high and mighty. I really don't think I'm the only one to think this. Maybe just tone down just a little.

I think Sam Bankman-Fried played everyone. He probably screwed over his own grandmother. I don't think Brady had any clue that Sam B.F was screwing everyone. I think Brady had way to much money and good image to risk chance if he had any idea what was really going on. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

I thought that deflate crap was debunked years ago. People will still talk about that yet they do not talk about all the holding penalties by the Chiefs. Oh thats right no refs are allowed to call penalties on the Chiefs and we are not allowed to talk about it.

Belichick thinks that if there's any team to do it, it will be this Chiefs team.

Sure it's the Chiefs but they are no. better than any of the Pats teams that had a chance to make a run for it.

Kelce is another year older, Is Rice suspended or does he have a looming suspension?

It is extremely difficult to win back to. back Super Bowls and they have done it so sure they got a great chance but my best guess is they don't

Funny how history repeats itself. Yes I didn't like the Patriots during their successful reign, especially when they beat my Eagles in the Super Bowl. But as a football fan, i couldn't help but admire Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Fortunately, the Eagles kicked some Patriots butt in the one Super Bowl the Eagles finally won.

Now I don't like the Chiefs even more than I didn't like the Patriots. Especially when they beat my Eagles in the Super Bowl. But as a football fan, I can't help but admire Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. I just hope it comes full circle and the Eagles get the opportunity to kick some Chiefs butt in the Super Bowl to win another one.

Oh, its definitely going to be difficult for KC especially when they're about to get asked about it from every journalists, every single week from the season start until whenever their last game is played. That type of added "noise" is only going to keep building up. Your questions about those KC players are definitely spot on.

As far as NE goes on this topic, they were only ever in this same position once after wining b2b SBs in '03-04. In '05 that was the year that they beat the Jags in R1 then got smoked by the Jake Plummer led Broncos in R2. NE lost alot of talent in between 04 & 05, (Joe Andruzzi/Ted Johnson/Ty Law/Roman Phifer/David Patten) and didn't come close to a 3peat.

Bragging/talking about it in the offseason after going B2B isn't the same as dealing with it on a weekly basis as the season gets deeper & deeper. Believe me, Pats fans saw this firsthand when they were going for 19-0. Every single week farther into the season without a loss made it a much bigger story around the NFL world to the point it was weekly talk outside of the NFL world. I expect with KC it will be the same especially if they're playing well come playoffs time.

Funny Madden story that is totally relevant here: My son & I used to play Madden on our PS3 at a time when Michael Vick & Desean Jackson were playing for the Eagles. I used to always be the Pats and he went with your Eagles (or Packers.) Rules were that we played on whatever standard time per quarter that the game gives you then there's no punting on 3rd or 4th downs. You played that series until it ended with a score, turnover or turned over downs. The final scores in our games always looked more like basketball games than football...85-76...112-92..stuff like that.

I did my fair share of winning and had plenty of bragging rights but the one freakin thing that I could never do was actually catch up to Vick & Jackson when my kid made huge plays. He'd literally do laps all the way around the field with those two players who had unbelievable speed in the game (and real life.) In those moments I wanted to chuck that controller from MA all the way to PA lol. If I couldn't stop those two on the first try after the ball was hiked, I had to sit there and suffer until he decided to end the play. 🤣

I don't recall the Patriots during the regular season ever bragging about going 19-0. I don't even recall the Patriots doing that a day before the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile the Chiefs players, and their head coach doesn't seem to be discouraging them, seem to brag about a 3-peat as though it's a foregone conclusion.

Hey if they can do it, then my hats off to them. But if they don't, well then they deserve to be smacked down.

What you consider bragging in all likelihood is just seeing a player replying to a question asked about a 3peat after someone probably asked in an interview somewhat soon after winning.
If we're actually talking about a KC player just being extra braggadocious right after winning the SB then welcome to the sports world because that happens literally with every new championship. Sometimes its the HC (Pat Riley immediately comes to mind) or it can be any number of the players, on or off the record.

Honestly, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill but there's nothing wrong with that. You go get your Troll on. 😎👍

Every single week farther into the season without a loss made it a much bigger story around the NFL world to the point it was weekly talk outside of the NFL world. I expect with KC it will be the same especially if they're playing well come playoffs time.

I've never seen such team bragging on this level in the NFL. A sport whereby coaches teach and tell their team not to give the other team, any chalk board material. You should know that.

Too late, the Chiefs have already given the entire league plenty of chalk board material, and I think it's going to come back to haunt them. We shall see.

Steve never really makes any sense with his thought process on these threads. His team has the biggest trash talking jerk for a head coach in the entire NFL but it’s the Chiefs who are the jerks for saying they want a 3peat. What are they supposed to say, nah we’ve won enough we’re hoping some other team wins it this year.
How did this guy not get fired?

I thought about starting an Eagles 2024 total collapse thread but what’s the point. You don’t have to be Nostradamus to see that one coming. Forecasting a yearly occurrence isn’t anything to brag about.

"chalk board material" is such a tired and clumsy cliche.

Whenever I see someone trot this nonsense out, it immediately makes me ask two things:

    (1) the person saying it believes professional athletes need extra motivation to play at a higher level;
    (2) these same professional athletes are unable to reach their max level without said motivation.

It is such a foolish and tired trope that gets trotted out nonstop by people who have no clue about sports.

I do not have time for ignorant trolls.
