I have taken as good a pictures as I can with the phone I have. Does anyone have an idea who is on this token and what it is? Year? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Faulkner fecit? This would place the medal in the first quarter of the 19th century. Considering the Latin, it appears to be an award given to students, at the University of Edinburgh for wit and diligence in the humanities.

"'non sibi soli sed patriae sed suis" = "Not for himself alone but for his country, his people". Which doesn't really help me in identifying the obverse portrait.

After asking the AI, here is some more info, conflicting with that 1820 year:

The two Faulkner medals I could find after a quick search online were 1821 and 1827.

Unfortunately, like a lot of current AI "research", it's just stuff the AI made up. This medal wasn't made by any "Faulkner & F", it's just "Faulkner". As noted above, the F-shaped monogram is abbreviation for "fecit", Latin for "he made it".

I agree with harasha. Though it didn't help me find more information for you, the latin on the medal suggests that it's an award for students of the humanities at the University of Edinburgh.
