Hi guys,
After just finishing a very successful and FUN ANA Chicago Show!
After a certain purchase I've found, an amazing graded Error Coin from Jon Sullivan.
This thread idea came to mind.
Well, it's the 1952 Jefferson Nickel, PCGS AU55
"Split Planchet after Strike!"
!

The main reason I bought it was the fact that I have the same "Identical" error in raw form in my inventory!
I find this alarming that an error can have similar appearances!
Now in varieties, yes! Many ,many duplicates.
But in Errors?
There certainly can't be that many having the similar error made on coins as the variety coins have.
Which brings me to this thread.
Post your Identical error coins, matching pairs.
Here is my duplicate error 1952 Split Planchet having the exact appearance, yr, wt. Everything! That Jon Sullivan's graded one has!
Thanks guys

I have another Error Pair somewhere in my inventory. Different denomination this time, same error on both,
" Obverse Strike Through". Deep Strike Throughs too!
Thanks 😊

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

    Shish...
Finally found it. Boy, I have to start organizing my inventory! 😆
    Here they are;
    The 2020p Rockefellers

The only difference in the two is one, unfortunately, has a scratch on his forehead!

Notice the same identical deep Strike Throughs! In the same areas, too.

    The Back Story...
Back in 2020, while CoinRollHunting. I came across one of these. I was floored!
    Then...
After about 2 months. I hunted down the second one! I could not believe my eyes!
The same identical quarter with the same exact deep gash (Strike Through).
    Wow!
I just had to have both graded. So at the last ANA Show in Chicago. I submitted them both across the street (NGC).
One unfortunately came back titled "scratch" in which was fine!
So there you have it. My 2nd Identical Error Pair.
How bout you guys? Any found like me?
    Thanks

That is an awesome error. Identical, as well. I love the fact in both notes. The last 4 digits in the serial numbers are consecutive!
    1918
    1919
    PMG label error?
    B)
    Thanks! 🙂

The bottom note graded 25 should be Fr#1996-J and say “Kansas City” instead of “New York”.

First coin I bought from Fred Weinberg back in 2012 or 13 and than 4 years later J.T. Stanton found the second one and I got lucky and bought raw and sent in for grading. So far I have not seen any others pop up.

    Enjoy Tom

    Wow, awesome specimen.
    Thanks

Not to be a killjoy, but isn't a die crack a die variety or at least a die state? :p

Still great to have the pair of proofs, though.

It would be classified a Die Error, but I understand what you're asking. It would be repeated on every coin struck until the die is replaced.

    Guys.
Both of your posted errors are awesome!
    And I appreciate you participating.
However, "Identical errors" are not what you are showing.
Meaning, two coins with the same year, same series, same identical errors.
It appears you both have the identical errors on 2 different coins.
    Example:

    Thank you.
    B)

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
