Olympic update: Simone Biles won another Gold Medal today.

American gymnast Simone Biles won the Gold Medal in the Vault today, averaging 15.300 and outdistancing her nearest opponent by more than .3 of a point. Go Simone and go USA!!!

    She still has two events to compete in, the balance beam and the floor excercise, both events that's she's very good at.

    Anyone still questioning her drive or heart (based on an injury sustained in 2021) doesn't know what they are talking about. The oldest all-around winner since the 50s at 27 (when most gymnasts win at 20) is a testament to her dominance.

    I was watching some Olympics last night and caught the Hammer Throw. Now there's an old event, dating to maybe four thousand years ago!! How those guys can do what they do is amazing: take a 16 pound steel ball attached to a 4 foot wire/handle, whirl around like a maniac and let go in the right direction without falling out of the circle.
