    I 100% agree with @TomB here. I'm not against monetary value - but the OP spotted and recognized an interesting anomaly and had the inquisitiveness to come learn about it here. And then he didn't argue about why this coin should be his golden ticket (like oodles of folks do, with their parking lot finds). So, tip-o-the-hat to @Jtjumper and welcome!

    PS. I'll retract anything nice I said if I see this half-dollar on eBay with a $1,000 price tag and a hyped-up description. :wink:

    Another missing, or nearly missing 9, just for fun. I assume this was a partially grease filled die, as well.
