I'm getting a message about an unexpected database error occurred, which would make me think the website will be back and functional shortly, but that in the meantime they have to find out what made it crash (software update, platform change, etc...).
The server just needs to be rebooted and the owner, Peter, barely comes on the website as much as he did and he's the only one that can deal with such issues, the other admins are useless to deal with it.

Last week or so. wasn't there something going on with the
web in general? Might be fall out from that. Several smaller
auction houses in Europe had issues connecting with PayPal.
Two of them had winners pay with other auction houses.

Over the years I’ve heard there being issues with some people signing up-it’s some sort of glitch. @lordmarcovan is a moderator there so maybe he can help you out (not certain though).

Sorry. Unfortunately my moderation privileges do not extend to registration. That is the domain of the admins: Doug (“GDJMSP”), the day-to-day administrator, and Peter T. Davis, the owner. And unfortunately the latter is almost always absent from the site, 99+% of the time.
I have brought up with Doug the constant problems people have reported to me about not being able to register on the site, but his response was as though there is no problem at all. It certainly appears to me that there IS indeed a problem, but I’m powerless to do anything about it.
And that makes me sad, because it’s a great site. (As long as you’re a Supporter and can thus avoid the absolute barrage of sketchy ads that pollute the site- or you have some other way to dodge those.) The software platform there is vastly superior to this one, in my opinion. Aside from the issue we’re discussing, of course.
Sorry to hear that. Looks like there's some good conversations happening there.
Not only can I not create a new account, but there's another issue: I actually have a CoinTalk account from years and years ago under my old Darkhorse handle. I have no idea what the password is, but I can't get an email to reset the password either. Ah well.

The Peter principle
I hope it returns this weekend, but with Peter, who knows? I could see it lasting weeks.

Thanks for the update (I asked this question on the Currency section & my post was closed with no explanation).

All his forums are still down. I'm on the Autiquers forum also and it's down too.

Cointalk is back online.
They had to replace their server.
I’ve been trying to sign up for this forum but not having any luck. Anyone else having this issue?
