Distance running. particularly the Marathon.
Speed is important, but strategy equally so.
Tough to compete for over two hours without any rest. And Summer weather is less than ideal.

Rodgers was 40th in Montreal 1976, but probably favored in 1980, but got boycotted out.
Wrestling. Obviously.

I am not too knowledgeable about this sport from the winter Olympics, but curling seems to require some gray matter strategy.
