What is your "Sports Feed" for all things in the Sporting World??

MaywoodMaywood Posts: 2,189 ✭✭✭✭✭

What outlet is your go-to Sports Feed for everything in the sporting world? The one I'm currently using has begun to wear thin on me, they just don't cover things in an up-to-date manner unless it's got something to do within the major market areas. I need a new page, so give me some suggestions I can try out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Maywood.

Local sports talk radio in the SF Bay Area and in other places I travel to; plus the Sports Forum; plus internet searches for teams and games I am interested in; plus occasionally one or more of the sports television network shows (though these sports TV shows get annoying very fast).

Sports radio annoys me, a lot of these guys and girls throw nonsensical stuff out there to get more air time

I'd say for me back then was: Sporting News, Digest, Sun-Times, and sports on the news...

a few years later then it was: ESPN, and ESPN Classic's...

and now here in this present day & time; I'd say the forum here that we're typing & reading and Insta...

Any TV and/or radio sports show/host long ago stopped being a reliable or valuable resource. They are interested in outrage for outrage's sake and are not interested in nuanced, intelligence discussions.

Find journalists you like and follow them on social media. You get to consume their content on your schedule and without TV or radio pushing an agenda or viewpoint.

I do not have time for ignorant trolls.

I pick up a lot of the sports info I hear via XM radio and the many choices it offers. I don't really have a particular favorite channel, but I often gravitate towards MLB talk during baseball season.

For years it was SiriusXM rotating between channels 80-82 in recent years. However, lately been more AM570 on iHeart Radio (free). That's LA sports talk but in morning it's 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Dan Patrick, Colin Cowherd, Rogan and Rodney (LA locals) at lunch time), Petros and Money (LA locals) at drive time. I am a Dodger fan so get my fill during the local shows and enjoy the national shows in the morning.

On the phone/computer I go to ESPN and the Athletic.

I also really like the FrontOffice Sports email.
