    UPDATE: Since I already posted it, I'll just keep it. As @yosclimber reminded me, this isn't a counter clash it's a die clash. Thanks again @yosclimber.

    The clash marks you showed for George Washington $1 are normal clash marks, not counter clashes.
    So they are reverse features which show up on the obverse, and obverse features showing on the reverse.

    I believe counter clash means it is an obverse feature showing back up on the obverse, judging from your first post.
