    Oodles.

Though I'm not a big fan of the color. Looks... Off. Guess it could be bad TV's.

My guess is that in hand, it does look RD.

I like it a lot. It's so tough to find a cameo Half Cent proof. I have only seen one other, and this one is much nicer.

I saw a question above about restrikes vs original proofs. This should assist on the diagnostics:

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

It might look fake (to you, not me) because it’s so unusual to see one with such exceptional contrast.
And the pictures make the fields look BN, though they’re likely RD.

It looked fake to me as well, the initial Trueview image look like it was struck on a gold planchet.
But I see that coin is plated in CoinFacts and as expected is the finest known in RD Cam for the issue. Wow!

Wow...fabulous coin. If I was to winnow down the collection to a box of 1 that would a major contender.

Thanks for the interesting post. I'm gobsmacked by that early copper. Lovely.

Can you post the link. As stated above, I have only seen one other... I look for half cents every day (literally).

I did have a complete set of the proof-only Original half cents (except the 1852), but none of mine looked anywhere as nice as this coin, which is outstanding!

Early Copper is one of the last big holdouts for raw coins. EAC would crack this coins and call it an AU :D

I like this coin. I like the color better than the coin in the OP. But the cameo contrast is not nearly as great. Also, without the CAM designation, the price of this coin will be far less than the coin above.

Thank you. I am a seldom poster often reader. I go through spells of digging through my coins and becoming interested and then posting a bit and then backing off a bit. Wonder what the upward line/mark behind ear. Doesn't look at all like hair, especially in such hi grade?
