Surprise in a Indian head cent book I bought

Last weekend I set up at the Bessemer, AL show. It was a great show for both selling and buying. It's the first time we have been there in over 10 years. I purchased an Indian cent book, and the owner was quite surprised by the amount I quoted for this coin. He put the set together and had no idea this was in there.
1894/94 in a high vf low xf. I was surprised when I saw it in there and so was he with the price, as he had written down it was worth 10 dollars. Just thought I would share this tougher piece in a higher grade.

Nice find but the coin looks cleaned and damaged.
Many on these boards know I’m a IHC collector. The 1894/1894 Doubled Date is very popular among non IHC collectors as the DD is naked eye visible. This is a tremendous find for a book given its condition!

The coin has some light wiping but that big divot looking thing on the reverse is actually just a toning spot believe it or not. I thought it was damage when I first got it as well. Here's a few better pictures

That’s a terrific find and observant. Many people even dealers miss mpd’s and rpd’s. Indian head cent varieties are one of my main interests. So I can appreciate a quick eye to notice these.
