8 packs in and unfortunately entire box is painfully OC.

Oh wow I feel your pain. I had a 1978 OPC hockey box like this that I powered through and opened regardless of centering. Wish I hadn't done that...

The Carlton is nice...the rest not so much!

Man, that’s tough. I was going through an old box of 79s I’d opened a year or so ago and about half had similar centering. Brutal.

    2 Raines both OC

No Ryans or Henderson. And the Carlton has a divot on top border!

Oh well. Yuk box! Love the OPC's tho.

Sorry about the centering...was the gum also off-centered? Where was the quality control...brutal?

    Thanks for sharing!

Sorry yes 1 Ryan - painfully OC but he was there! Cards were all in good shape just misfit left to right .....

you see why they are so tough in high grade. i doubt he even got an 8, unfortunately.

Work hard and you will succeed!!

If I submitted 50 of the best cards, I'd prob end up with 3-4 8's. Max!

    The cat, unfortunately, was dead.

May your next one be alive.

Are they all Cream Backs? Or are you seeing any Gray Backs?

Can you show a picture of one of the Blue Jays or Expos posters? Are these of individual players?

O-Pee-Chee's are so tough. Though slightly bias, I'd recommened buying PSA graded 8's or better of any players you need foir your collection. That Carlton looked sweet but then that divot. Thanks for sharing.

    Pics attached of the posters.

I can never tell difference between grey back and white back. The graded Ozzie below is labeled grey back. I think this entire wax box was white back - the Gibson card though gives me pause. Either way, they are all OC!

Those all look like white back in your photo, except the Ozzie.

Posters are cool, I never knew these existed. Is this a yearly thing for OPC?

Agree. Is there a Carter and/or Raines? Are they 2 per box one Expos and one Blu Jays?

How can you purchase these cards from anyone when prices of PSA are so high? No one wants to grade these because of the loss potential. I love OPC's and would love to grade my sets out at some point

Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases

Agree. Im now going in the boat of a totally new hobby. One I only buy already graded. Coins. Just got back my most current order with PSA. Just wanted to see how they grade lately. Well 1977 Topps Star wars all pack fresh and centered. 30 cards total. Im going to wait again. Started subbing in 1998. Man I have no clue what or how to grade Really no clue anymore. Its a modern grading game now. Send in .10 cards hoping to sell it for 20.00 after you pay 16.00 plus sh both ways and make 1000% on your .10. Or loose everything plus sh.
Vintage is way to scary to grade. And I never thought 1977 was vintage. Especially Star wars cards. I did not get one single .5.
Fun having Dead centered sharp 1977 Star wars cards with a 13.00 grading fee now in PSA 7 cases.
Ugh. Cant believe I paid 500.00 to grade 30 1977 star wars cards i thought were Mint.I did get 1 9.

sorry to hear your news, handyman.

looks like you can get 8's on refractors, 9's on cards back to 1980, and then 8's are the highest on 1979 and back,

Work hard and you will succeed!!

Might as well melt the 69 9s or below if you are a common.
    LOL
