    PSA 2 maybe if that mark at 65,40 which matches on the back is a thing.
    PSA 5.5 otherwise.

    Best Guess.

    Are you asking what we think the grade should be or what grade the card actually received?

    That's a really, really nice card. Looks like perhaps a bit of paper loss on the back in the word "defeat", and whatever caused that blemish comes through on the front near Rickey's left shoulder.

    I’m going to say 5 because that seems to be the grade I get on any vintage with a few issues (and some that don’t have any)…

    I really hope it isn’t lower because that’s a beautiful card even as a 5.

    IMO a 6 but it probably received a 9.

    It has a hole in it, so whatever the highest "hole grade" is. I'll go with PSA 1.5.

    Good eye. I had a Peter Parker the Spectacular Spiderman #1 that I bought from mile high comics in 1986 via mail order. I had never opened it until around 5 years ago to realize it had that same type of hole almost the entire comic that was almost impossible to see without opening. Shame on you mile high comics!

    I'd crack it out, get some Spackle and fill that hole in!

    I don't think it is a hole. I think it may be an oversized object in the pulp of the cardboard, and what we are seeing is wear from the sheet being moved around before cutting and during the packing and shipping of the pack it resided in. Sort of like a coin's high spot wearing down quicker than any other part of the coin.

    So, like a popped card pimple?

    if you notice in the top left of this card, there is a small indention/circle. This shows up on a lot of the hendersons. I sent two of these in years ago, one with the small circle and one without. Both looked super nice and centered. I received a 9 on the one with the circle and an 8 for the one without. Made absolutely no sense to me.

    Work hard and you will succeed!!

    There are lots of 10s in PSA slabs which have one or more of the Rickey spots.

    I’ve never seen any of them raised or indented though.

    @HOMETOWNSPORTS did you grade this?

  • KendallCatKendallCat Posts: 2,999 ✭✭✭✭✭

    PSA 1 - pinhole to the right of Rickey. “Rickey don’t like pinholes!” 🤣
