When You Retire Complete Registry Sets, Can the Constituent Coins Still Remain Active for a While?

As some of you likely know, I'm about to auction via Great Collections two complete sets of Toned Lincoln, Wheat Reverse (1909–1958) Registry Sets, currently ranked #4 and #8 Current Finest. As I suspect the first batch of coins is likely to appear next Monday at Great Collections, I think I should go ahead and Retire both sets as a convenience to the upcoming prospective bidders. The trouble is, I do use the PCGS Active/Sold inventory function as a backup to my own personal accounting system (which is in the form of Excel spreadsheets). Is it possible to Retire the sets while still keeping the individual coins showing (to me, at least) as Active until I can mark them Sold later on, once I know the actual prices realized? Thanks for anyone who has detailed experience here and can explain the correct process for me. (It's several hundred coins so I really don't want to get this one wrong.)

Kind regards,

George

The best advice I can/would give you is to send an email OR call Paulina and explain to her what you want/need to do. She is graet and will walk you through it.
Good luck with the sale, I'll be watching for sure
