Commemorative Medal help needed / fake?

Can anyone identify if this is a variant or possibly fake? It is a George Canning commemorative that is dated 1827 designed by Galle. The only others I can find are bronze and this is definately not. It is magnetic and has what appears to be some corrosion. Thank you.

I believe all originals were struck pieces. This looks like a cast copy to me.
