That is exactly what I need for my complete type set, how much do you want for it? Don't bother to register it as I'll register it after the deal is done.
Let me know.

Look at it this way, I won't be competing with you on the next one that comes along Thanks to all for the kind words. Wish the scan did it justice. The obverse is lighter, and the reverse colors are a very vibrant neon.
Re the icon, clearly Keith is adding the drapery !!
Keith,
That's a nice looking coin for the grade. And one of the toughest to find in the set.
Congrats!

The icon change is temporary to mourn the passing of a board icon on the Open Forum. We will return you to our regularly scheduled rim-toned Kennedy tomorrow.
Great, original look.

That's a really beautiful, original-looking coin. I'd like to have a complete pre-Civil War type set of silver coins with that kind of toning. Did you find that on the internet, or sight-seen from a dealer? Judging from the reactions here, you sure wouldn't have any problem finding a buyer if you were to sell it. Congrats on a nice coin!

I picked this piece up off of David Lawrence's website. The coin was listed last Tuesday, and I requested the scan, since it was listed as a 3 on the color rating and 5 on the eye appeal. Wednesday, when I got the scan, I looked at it for about an hour, hmmd, hawed, then said I'll pass. Left work and drove home, and somewhere along the way, decided that I would kick myself if I didn't pick the piece up. Fortunately, it was still available when I got home.
What a beautiful coin. Nice scan and as you mentioned I bet it is more colorful in person. After I read all the comments... I had to go back up and drool some more. The silver gray contrast on the obv. is what I really like. Sweet !
