I've bought a few pieces thus far this year, and I've been terrible at getting them photographed. Well, I'm trying to rectify that. So first up, this Barber dime I picked up at the start of the year. Lustrous throughout (including through the dark toning--that's important to me, it's not a flat, crusty area) with lovely color. PCGS MS64+

Beautiful coin and excellent image, Jeremy.
Great to see a Barber coin in the limelight on the forum.
I have a love/hate relationship with Barbers. I don't think the design is particularly interesting, and a plain-Jane coin can be rather unappealing. But with good lustre and some color (even a light golden skin) or frost, they can be really appealing. I don't have many, but I really like the ones I have.
Pretty coin.
Yes, you are right. The color and other elements make a plain design interesting.
I’m not a huge fan of the dimes, as I much prefer the reverse of the quarters and halves … but dangit, that’s a nice one. Great example!
