I was looking through my grandfather‘s collection and steel pennies, and I ran across this San Francisco mint 1943-s and the “S” looked different so I zoomed in and this is what I got …

It looks like RPM-2, however, it is also possible that what you see is an artifact of the reprocessing/plating done to the coin. RPM-2 is not a valuable variety and with the coin plated it still would not have any added collector value.
