phausback with about 152 feedback.
1972 Topps Nolan Ryan - auction heading stated the card was "Mint". I asked about one of the corners, he replied it's fine nothing wrong. He took my offer for $175. After the purchase, I noticed he changed the auction heading from "Mint" to "Awesome". I called Ebay and they told me to get my money back immediately, which I did. Then the seller left a shiitty feedback stating that I backed out on the deal because I didn't have enough money to pay for his pristine card.
No real thrilled with this transaction. So I thought I would share.
Work hard and you will succeed!!

Awesome that you called eBay...
i hate shady sellers
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
as with Non-Paying Buyers...
I don't understand. HOW was an ebay seller able to change any detail, large or small, in an ENDED listing? Especially in a sold ended listing? It's impossible, as far as what I've experienced.
I saw on Ebay the feedback the seller left. What a creep this guy is.
I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I think that feedback may violate Ebay rules.
Good to hear negative feedback about sellers, too much is said about buyers.
i was negotiating the price (not a best offer) and he sent it to me and i bought it. i didn't notice thet he had changed just a few minutes before i bought it. ebay was not happy with this practice.
It is unfortunate that sellers who have a legitimate case for negative feedback against bad buyers can't do so anymore, but its laughable that this one left you POSITIVE feedback worded as such. It will literally get lost in a sea of positive feedback and won't affect you in any way if you even buy semi-frequently. I wouldn't even worry 2 seconds about that feedback if it were me.
Can you leave them feedback? if he left it for you, you should be able to for them and yours can be negative, if so.
I can't recall the exact year when Ebay eliminated the opportunity for sellers to leave a red negative feedback about buyers.
However I do recall when Ebay did that, the new rules were clearly stated that any positive feedback left by a seller, with the intent to disparage a buyer in the text, was not acceptable.
How strongly Ebay enforces this rule, I do not know. But I'd be fairly certain that Ebay would remove that seller feedback if you asked them.
Ebay will remove that feedback comment and simply leave the positive. It will look like this:
a positive sign (in green) g***a (12345) -
and that's it.
You call ebay or use the chat with an agent option and tell them that the seller not only tried to pull a fast one on you by changing details minutes after you communicated about the item and agreed on a price for it, but then issued you a "negative" positive (or what they call a false-positive), a positive rating with a negative comment. That is expressly against ebay guidelines and their remedy is to leave the member's positive rating while removing the negative comment.
Do not request for the seller to amend the feedback comment because what he may do is use that request to replace the negative comment after ebay remedies this for you.
Thanks Bambino
mr mopar -- I can reply.
It was at least 5 years ago that ebay made that ridiculous change that further completely slanted the playing field towards the buyer, right or wrong.
THE BUYER IS usually in the right based on the new rules.
