1872 G$1 NGC MS61PL - Super scarce prooflike gold dollar SOLD

This is a very scarce date, with mintage of only 3500. On top of that it is a highly prooflike coin, as designated. There are only 14 coins with PL in all grades by NGC, and 3 by PCGS. The PCGS priceguide for a regular 1872 in 61 is $1800. PL normally almost doubles that value. Northeast Numismatics just sold one in the same grade at $2650 (mine is nicer). The most recent auction sale was a MS62PL on Heritage that sold in 2/2023 for $3720.

Here are some pics. It is very difficult to get good pics of a PL. This one has beautiful deep mirrors and frosted devices.
I would sell this at $2100, which I think is a great deal!
