Scotsman physical catalogs have shipped

If you want a printed Scotsman catalog, go to scoins.com and look up their phone number to call to request one. Your first one used to be free, although I don't know whether that's still the case.

I'm not sure how valuable their catalogs are. I only looked at the lots for my area of interest but there were several (in my opinion) inexcusable errors.

This coin is not chopmarked and our hosts do of course straight grade chopped T$s.

Again, incorrect (or maybe just 20 years out of date...)

The chopmarked 1875 trade dollar is an ultra-rarity and the key to the set. There is currently one known, undisputed example. Both 1875s here clearly display CC chopmarks.

I can understand the odd mistake here or there, cataloguers are only human, but this is embarrassing. I emailed them regarding the 1873-P ~10 days ago but never heard back. I hope the rest of the catalog is better.
