You need to post better pics with more clarity to detail….

Pretty fuzzy photo, but I don't see an error here, just a 1900 quarter.

It is not an error but a variety. Your photos are too poor to make any comment. Barber quarter specialists can probably give some info regarding the reverse varieties and whether they exist for this date.

It's potentially a Reverse Hub 3, although can't be sure without better photo of the left wing area. There are minor positional variants with the reverse of the 1900 quarter. The Rev. hub 3 is not rare however, with an estimate that 56% of 1900 quarters were produced with that Reverse. Unless I am missing something, this is just a regular VF 1900 quarter.

  • This is not my coin so I don’t have the ability to provide a better photo. I’m just trying to help an older lady, who has her late husband collection. Again this story I was told by her reinforces the importance of having a plan with your collection if and when you pass.

    It's worth maybe $15-$20.

Notice the almost imperceptible difference on this earlier 1896, with Type 2 Rev. hub. Look at the Left eagle wing

This will not end well if anyone believes it is a $1,000 coin. It appears to be a lightly cleaned (because of the gloss in the images) choice VF. Below is the Barber Coin Collectors' Society website followed by the link to the image that @barbercoin has supplied-

I avoid sellers who write "rare" on common date coin cardboard flips. :D

But this one says "rare" AND it also has stars on the flip. So it must be valuable!

I gravitate towards the ones that write RARE in big letters on a slab with a Sharpie

Well, when was the last time you found a Barber quarter in your change?

I've never found a barber quarter, but I did find a 1911-D dime last year for face value.
