I know it's the coin forum, but more traffic here. It was originally found by a teller(sellers wife)and pulled out of circulation, so I'd imagine minimal circulation if any. Seller wasn't sure about letting it go at the moment. What's it worth?

Unlike the Andrew Johnson medal, that one probably has significant value. Major error. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the value might be.

"More traffic" doesn't make an off topic post any less inconsiderate - especially when a currency forum's provided by our hosts.

Get that into a mylar sleeve!

    No idea on value.

The traffic us indeed lighter on the currency forum but there are some experienced people there.

Maybe @Steve_in_Tampa can be coerced into checking the coin forum.

that's a cool find in the wild! imho this post is coin-connected enough because of the circumstances, op is a coin collector, it's probably interesting to coin collectors because it's a dramatic error and fun story, you get a faster answer posting it on both forums, and there's a pretty low bar for starting threads around here anyway

It's worth several hundred dollars retail. It's a little better as printed folds go because it was folded before the face print and stayed folded for the overprint. Notes are printed back first, then the face print, then the overprint of serial numbers and seals.

What do you mean by several hundred? How much? $200? $300?? More??? Ebay is little help so far on my searches as I dont find a similar note. Some close ones are not nearly as nice.

More in the neighborhood of $500 or so, assuming it's uncirculated.

    Fantastic Printed Fold-Over error note.
I love dramatic errors and because of reasons mentioned by @goodmoney4badmoney, this one definitely qualifies. I would venture to guess that in a graded holder, it may fetch more than $500 to the right collector. Thanks for sharing
