Do any of you guys play generic gold? Some are predicting 2500 spot by years end.

Predictions don't cost anything and that is exactly what they are worth.
When can get good deal I acquire them.
If you think gold is going up within the year, buy paper gold as it is more efficient: tighter bid/ask spreads.
If gold went to $2500 in the next 6 months, that's only about 8% from where we are now. The buy/ sell spread in physical gold will cost you about half of that. So even IF gold hits $2500, you'll only make 4% (8% APR) which is no giant windfall for the risk.
People who stack physical gold are not generally trying to flip it for short term gains.
