Hi everybody haven't been out here in a while been sick looks like I'll make a full recovery minus a few brain cells LOL. I didn't think that a 1980 Lincoln cent had an error of doubling on the earlobe. So I looked it up and it's true 1980 Lincoln cent does have a doubling of the lower earlobe and I'm wondering if you could tell me if this is it I researched it on a few of the sites but to no avail so I googled it and I came up with an error
on the earlobe. Also the date looks doubled. On the reverse the only thing I can see is extra thickness on e pluribus unum thank you very much people

"Minus a few brain cells" seems like an understatement.

No.
Seems incredibly rude.

Sorry but not the 1980 doubled die.
Also a doubled die is a variety, not an error. Big difference.
There is no such DDO listed at varietyvista.com
Your coin looks normal on both the date and the ear.
Edited to add, since my concision seems to confuse, I'm referring to the doubled ear variety as non-existent.
I promise to use the maximum number of words from this point in time (4:00 eastern daylight time in July 1st in the year of our lord 2024 our common era 2024).
Just "seems"?
Perhaps you could provide the link?
Look at the OP's profile. Even assuming they aren't a troll, they have 2/3 as many discussions as they do comments, all of which (32) are asking for help identifying common coins. These types of users never learn their lesson.

My comment stands. And no matter what you think about the poster’s learning abilities, you should consider the forum rules and guidelines.

“There is no such DDO listed on varietyvista.com”
Wexlers has it listed as WDDO-001
The doubled ear? Varietyvista has a DDO but not with the ear.
Edited to add: Wexler DDO-001 is the same as varietyvista.com with pronounced doubling in the date and best but NOT the ear.
I borrowed the word from the post to (edited) which I replied: “Minus a few brain cells" seems like an understatement.”

An inch is a good as a mile, they always say.
Edited - thanks.😀

The real doubled die is most noticeable on the "80" of 1980. Very pronounced and quite a scarce variety.
Yours, as has been stated, is simply a normal coin.
