Odd thing about Tristan Casas of the Red Sox

This guy is big into toe nail and finger nail polish. I read a recent article where he showed up for Spring Training with white toe nail polish and red finger nail polish. Crazy weird if you ask me. If you watch a Red Sox game, you might see him with his new flavor of the week...now yellow finger nail polish.

I don't think it's a hit with the ladies...maybe I'm wrong...vewy, vewy stwange!!!

Completely strange but in line with the weirdness of other "Stuff" going on today, definitely not the worst thing I've heard of a young man doing though

I dont care what his favorite shade of nail polish is, I just want to see him in the lineup.
We all know he has weird habits but he is a good 1st baseman which we now lack!
Stwange is ok.Bad fielding is not!

A lot of athletes are doing it now, one of the Duke basketball players, Caleb Williams etc. I dont get it for the hands, it just gives people and opponents another reason to make fun of you and criticize you like when Caleb had F*** Utah on his nails and then proceeded to lose to Utah.

It used to make sense for catchers when they were giving signs before pitchcom. The toenails do make sense though. It helps provide a barrier from bacteria and fungus when youre in sweaty cleats all day

I get the catchers doing it so the pitchers can see his signs, that's been around for a long time, but I'm not down with a position player wearing finger nail polish. I'm waaay too old school for that. Casa's probably doesn't frequent too many biker bars!

I had to do it a couple years from a 6'6 lefty who threw 100 with suspect command who couldnt see signs. Your girlfriend painting your nails was certainly something lol

For Casas though yea its just a fashion statement if a first basemen is coloring their nails. Its "cool" I guess if youre putting up stud numbers, but you become a laughing stock as soon as the production drops. The finger nails trend reminds me a lot of Cam Newton, when he was good his outfits were cool, when he got bad everyone just made fun of him for them
